review...bills basics

So, I am a novice at cooking nor am I a collector of cookery books however, I have been a casual observer of food books and I've always loved Mr Grangers methodical approach to cooking. The photography and layout initially interested me. I find that it's always very clean and linear but he manages to incorporate warmth as well -very important in food presentation.

There's a cook well known in Australia who has a magazine and used the same photographer but it somewhat ends up looking sterile and unsavoury. It's simple but it somehow lacks in substance? I don't know...

This book has taught me so much about making good food- it does not have to be complicated to make something nice.

He has included food from many cultures, so this makes it a fantastic book for first time cooks!

Carrot Cake,

These are unedited photos,  it's sometimes nice to leave honesty in the photos. I am sure it's not always necessary for us to saturate our images. It'll be cool to investigate more with natural light.
