Refraction 2.0, Belem Lett
This is usually a design projects blog, but I was just so drawn to this painting. It won the Whiteley Scholarship.
Isn't it beautiful?
It's just so expressive yet subdued at the same time.
Many elements are dichotomous (fractured yet together, chaos/order, compartment/dispersion, noisy but calm etc) but it rings a sense of harmony to it...which I suppose is what makes a composition 'work'.
