There's many things to be done in the next month and many things I would like to do as well. the bundle of paper work at home, applying for jobs, a few projects of the next few months, university wrap-ups as well as maintaining a balance in wellbeing. The importance of not feeling overwhelmed and doing things little by little 'bird by bird'. I read an interesting article the other morning about how 'busyness has replaced being happy'. This ringing an element of truth, only to the detriment of busyness is only an distraction - occupying our minds with things fruitless. We're constantly occupied with being busy that even in our down time we fill our minds with numbing distractions whether it be internet browsing, social networking, tv, shopping etc etc. It leaves very little time for us to think and contemplate. Are we really afraid with having time to contemplate and have quietness or we feel comfort in being constantly occupied?
I'll post the link once I find it, ha. It was in the smh newspaper.
