Facade

Quick post tonight. Continuing on from my concepts for environmental transitions, I have been working on the outer facade 'skin' of the hostel. I have later realised that some of these facades need to have specific qualities to suit the usage and location.
In any case, some developing models.

Explorative geometries

It was both exciting and challenging thinking of possible geometries for the facade. I spent many an hour devising of possible design options. It was quite fun. For inspiration things like paper cuts, packaging etc were looked for possibilities. I suppose now with many digital softwares the parameters for patterns and geometries would be limitless. I find this idea of 'skin' fascinating, it's as if textile has come to architecture. hmmm
