Reflecting on the past year

As December rolls in, I find myself often very wistful and pensive about the past year. This year I was working full-time so there were not so many melancholic moments such as these; however there were moments I felt very reflective. It was a big year, transformative perhaps (maybe too dramatic haha).

- I started full-time work, a grad position in government. I switched from graduate studies to unemployment to working in a ‘real’ job.

- I also had health issues whilst I started my new job. I was very sick with my eczma flare-ups and subseqent cortisone withdrawals. I am very thankful of my family, friends and workplace being understanding and supportive.

- Made other big steps in my life.

- Started paying for my own expenses.

- Made it a priority to acquaint new people. Organised a lunch and a gathering.

- Travelled to Copenhagen, Helsinki and Melbourne. Louisiana Museum was so pretty and sublime!

- Travelled alone and made new friends.

- Baked Cinnamon rolls, rolled Finnish-style.

- Made little weekend trips to the South Coast. $2.50 train rides, hehe.

- Trekked to Ikea and refurbished my room (still in the process…).

These are some of the things I have done.
