The Louisiana Musuem of Modern Art is probably one of the best art galleries I have visited. The positioning of the gallery and outdoor sculpture garden is delightful. The museum is situated off the coast of Denmark over looking Sweden, you can see Sweden from the gardens. The sculpture garden was just so picturesque. So green with trees and pretty!
The design of the museum is just perfect. It completely fits in with the context. I was just marvelling at the details, flow of the gallery spaces (or spatial organisation heh) and the way the garden was incorporated thoughtfully with the design of the interior spaces. Due to the fact that it’s such a considered building, I would have definitely studied this building as a precedent in architecture school had I been familiar.
I also loved the food there as well, you can order a buffet from memory for about $30. The food was very fresh, light and tasty. I think they have a seasonal menu, I had some codfish, eggplant, souffle. It was very refreshing.
Now I want to go back there!!
